Funeral service for Bobby “Bob” Gene McGuffee, 83, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Joe Wilson and Rev. Eric Keller officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Bob was born to James and Effie (Baker) McGuffee on July 25, 1928, in Cooper, Okla., and died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at his home in Enid.

Bob attended grade school in St. Louis, Okla.; junior and high school in Shawnee; attended Oklahoma Baptist University, USAO, and Phillips.

Bob worked for Rock Island, OKT, Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years.

On Jan. 7, 1988, he married Burma Montague in Enid. He was a member of Oakwood Christian Church, Seekers Sunday school class, Barbershop Quartet and Chorus, First Senior AMBUCS and Moose Lodge.

Bob was a 32nd degree Mason, 62-year-member of Masonic Lodge 80, Grand Lodge, Akdar Shrine and O.E.S. Ruth Chapter. He was a volunteer at Midgley Museum since 1992. Bob played saxophone in a band.

He loved to fish and hunt, and never met a stranger.

Bob is survived by his wife, Burma of the home; sons, Robert McGuffee and wife Ann, and Dennis McGuffee, all of Colorado Springs, and Dan Montague of Enid; grandchildren, Sean, Chris, Grant and Loreal; five great-grandchildren; brother, Horace McGuffee of California; sister-in-law, Joanne Cooper of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wilma Lindsey; one grandson and one granddaughter.
