McNabb receives Staff Achievement award

Described as “always willing to help out with a smile on her face,” Vanessa McNabb received the Regents Staff Achievement Award for the first quarter of the 2011-12 year at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
McNabb, who works as an administrative assistant in the academic affairs office, was recognized by a colleague in her nomination as “very well organized” as well as known for “working well with a wide variety of people.
“Vanessa stays out of the spotlight because she’s busy working but what she does is invaluable to this university.”
McNabb was presented the award at the Staff Association meeting in September by Monica Park, Lawson Court manager and Employee of the Year for 2010-11.
The Regents Staff Achievement Award is presented quarterly to one outstanding staff member. From these award winners, an Employee of the Year recipient is selected.
