Avanzini, Joy Services for Joy Ann (Corsini) Avanzini, 75, Coalgate, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Coalgate. Rev. Higgens will officiate.Burial will follow at Coalgate Cemetery. Mrs. Avanzini was born Aug. 13, 1934 at Sherman, Texas to Nondo ""Smiley"" Corsini and Lucy Forneris Corsini. She died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at Coalgate. She graduated from Coalgate High School in 1952 and attended Oklahoma College for Women. She worked in the Court Clerk's Office and was a homemaker.She married Bill Avanzini June 3, 1954 in Coalgate. She is survived by her husband of the home, one brother, Tony Corsini and wife Norma, Coalgate; two sons; Bill Avanzini and wife Phyllis of Coalgate, Jim Avanzini and wife Gayla of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Ann Palmer and husband Tammy, Coalgate; five grandchildren, Luke Palmer, Luci Palmer, Jennifer Avanzini, Jerry Yort, Melanie and husband Mark Hart and children Faith, Hope and Trinity, along with numerous nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and dear and loved friends.Mrs. Avanzini was preceded in death by her parents. Bearers will be Nick Lolli, Tom Corsini, Mickey Palmer, Ed Denny, Tanner Corsini, Barrett Corsini and Vardell Clark.Honorary Bearers will be Pat Ferrero, Gladys Hickerson, Murl Ward, Gerri Watkins and Laura June Gerhards.
