BARRETT, Jajaye (Preston)

Jajaye Preston Barrett, 88, passed away December 8, 2009 in Houston. Born October 17, 1921 in Oklahoma City to James Clarke and Margaret May Lewis Preston; she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry and Home Economics from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and retired from Armco Steel after over 30 years as an Executive Assistant. Preceded in death by her husband Clarence Allen Barrett November 7, 1992, she is survived by her daughter Margaret Bridges, a son Danny Barrett and wife Debbie, a sister Victoria Wallace, grandchildren: Michael Bridges, Jordan Bateman and Jonathan Barrett. For those that desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Gulf Coast Hospice. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Gulf Coast Hospice for taking such good care of JaJaye and her family. VISITATION: 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Friday at Terrace United Methodist Church, 1203 Wirt Road, Houston. SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Terrace United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
