Funeral for Zella Logan Beauchamp, 101, Gainesville, Fla., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Indiahoma Church of Christ with Kirk Givens, minister officiating. Mrs. Beauchamp passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at her daughters home in Gainesville, Fla. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indiahoma, under direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born July 14, 1908, in Lawton to W. Arthur and Emily Lee Logan. After graduating from Indiahoma High School at age 16, she attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater. She taught school in Indiahoma and Cache before marrying R. W. Dutch Beauchamp on Oct. 31,1936, in Indiahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha in 1952 and taught for more than 30 years in Indiahoma, Cache, Lawton and Mexico Beach, Fla. After retiring, she spent summers in Indiahoma and winters in Gainesville. She is survived by a daughter, Gayla Beauchamp, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; a brother, Bill Logan; a sister-in-law, Jymmie Nell Elliott Logan; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Mamie and Lawrence Giles, Pauline and Calvin Jones, Muriel and Ted Beauchamp, Lucille and Emile Buzz Boosamra; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell Jinks Beauchamp and Bernie Haddon Beauchamp.
