Bishop, Lila Maureen Funeral service for Lila Maureen Bishop, age 68, of Chickasha will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday December 18, 2007 at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha. Lila Maureen Bishop was born the daughter of Delbert A. and Elinor June (Mumy) Conover on January 16,1939 at Denver, Colorado. She died Saturday December 15, 2007 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.She married Charles E. Bishop in Akron, Colorado on July 4, 1959.She grew up in Colorado and came to Chickasha 22 years ago. She Graduated from USAO in 1991 she completed her Masters Degree at OCU. She worked as Family Counselor with Chisholm Trail Clinic and later private counseling. She was an accomplished artist and author, with one published book and several poems. She enjoyed history and genealogy. She did special work for the Pennsylvania Bi Centennial Commission. She supported Mission work and Missionaries through her local church. She was an Awesome wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.Her parents preceded her in death.Survivors include:her husband Reverend Charles E. Bishop of the home in Chickasha; one son: Jeff Bishop and wife Sheila of Arlington, Texas; two daughters: Faith Bishop of Grapevine, Texas; Elizabeth Gibson and husband Shawn ofAlvarado, Texas; five sisters:Esther Wyatt, Margaret Clamp, Tricia Keever, Donna Lee West and Valda Ammerman; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Jonathan, Andrew, Abigail and Luke Bishop; Garrett and Kagen Gibson.Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
