BOUCHER, Mary A. (Teague)
Mary Ann Boucher Funeral for Mary Ann Boucher, 69, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Shane Hall, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Boucher died Thursday, July 26, 2012, in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born July 16, 1943, in Lawton, to George A.C. and Betty Beatrice Barrett Teague. She grew up in Lawton and attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Central Junior High School and graduated from Lawton High School in 1961. Following graduation, she married Jerry Boucher on July 8, 1961, in Lawton, and has been a devoted wife for 51 years, making wonderful memories. Mrs. Boucher attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Cameron State Agricultural College and Oklahoma College for Women, and later graduated with a degree in elementary education from Cameron University. She had worked for two years as a secretary for the Child Welfare Department and the remainder of her career as a dedicated fifth-grade teacher with Lawton Public Schools. She began teaching in 1971 and taught at Hoover Elementary School as well as Howell Elementary School, retiring in 1996. She had many students and parents she still remained close to. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully worshiped, and enjoyed fellowship with her church family.
