BRAND, Mozelle K. (Keyes)

Kathryn Brand Mozelle, known by many as Monker, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. She was 90 years young. Mozelle was born in Naples, Oklahoma, on January 27, 1919, to Pauline O. and William L. Keyes. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women. In 1945 Mozelle married the love of her life Joseph K. Brand in El Reno, Oklahoma. From this union they had 2 daughters, Paula and Kathy. Mozelle was always devoted to her family, placing each member's needs above her own. She always had a positive outlook on life showing both strength and compassion to all that she met. She and her husband were very involved in the trucking industry for the majority of their lives. They also loved supporting the OSU Cowboys, traveling near and far to cheer on their team. Another interest in their lives was their dogs who instantly became members of the family. She was preceded in death by husband Joe mother Pauline Shields stepfather Wallace Shields father William Keyes. She is survived by daughter Paula and husband Larry Wolfe of Charlotte, NC daughter Kathy and husband Tim Moore of Stroud, OK grandchildren Justin Wolfe of Wilmington, NC, Kevin and wife Denise Wolfe of Raleigh, NC, Adam and wife Julie Moore of Edmond, OK, Jenny and husband Josh Holliday of Gilbert, AZ great-grandchildren Scarlett Wolfe, Quinci Moore, Olivia and Brady Holliday and many close friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Mansion at Waterford and the caregivers at Faith Hospice as well as Dr. Rickie Conrady. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 16 at 1:00pm at Village Christian Church under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
