CHRISTIAN, Colleen (Dickerson)

Colleen Christian, 83 of Duncan, died on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phil Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery. She was born Oct. 7, 1926 in Chickasha, the daughter of John Lewis and Thelma Dickerson. Colleen graduated from Chickasha High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women. She married James Dwain Christian on Feb. 21, 1945 in Chickasha. They moved to Duncan in 1950. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1997. Colleen worked as a secretary at Halliburton Services for 13 years. She was a homemaker, an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening and her yard. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Daisy Christian of Duncan and four grandchildren: Matt Christian, Allison Christian, Robert Fonseca and Christopher Fonseca. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom Dickerson. Pallbearers will be be: Matt Christian, Robert Fonseca, Christopher Fonseca, Garth Christian, Gary Christian and Brian Wolff.
