COYER, Violet (Puckett)

Violet Puckett Coyer of Wilburton, Oklahoma, died on Monday September 28, of natural causes. Born April 19, 1925 in Guion, Arkansas, the daughter of T.H. and Mary Leah Helm Puckett. Mrs. Coyer graduated from Rosedale High School and Oklahoma College for Women. She taught at the Jane Brooks School for the Deaf in Chickasha, Oklahoma and as a special education teacher for the deaf in the Mesa, Arizona public school system. Married to Roger L. Coyer, Sr., mother of Judith Kinney of Thomaston, ME; Roger L. Coyer, Jr. and wife Nina of Lancaster, KY; and Robert Coyer and wife Pam of New Richland, MN; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and all of her siblings.
