D'AMATO, Kelly A. (McClure)
Kelly Ann (McClure) D'Amato, 46, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 7, 2011, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Kelly was born Wednesday, April 22, 1964 in Marlow, OK, to Mickey McClure and Kay (Hutton) McClure . Kelly grew up in Rush Springs and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1982. She later attended USAO in Chickasha and Texas Woman's College in Denton, TX. Kelly married Joe D'Amato on September 5, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. Kelly was appointed as town secretary of the Town of Hickory Creek on June 17, 1997. Kelly was the longest tenured employee of the town proudly serving four mayors, Mayor John Malloy, Mayor Jim Clarke, Mayor Jeffrey Price and Mayor John Smith. Kelly graduated from the Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program (TMCCP) at the University of North Texas on January 18, 2001. She obtained a Certificate of Recertification from TMCCP on January 19, 2006 and January 13, 2011. Kelly continued her education even further and became a Certified Municipal Clerk with The International Institute of Municipal Clerks on October 22, 2007. Kelly was also a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Survivors include, husband, Joe D'Amato of Hickory Creek, Texas, two daughters, Lindsay D'Amato and Mandy D'Amato of Hickory Creek, Texas, parents, Mickey and Kay McClure of Rush Springs, brother, Patrick McClure and wife Jana of Los Alamos, New Mexico, nieces, Erin and Megan McClure of Los Alamos, New Mexico, nephew, Michael McClure of Rush Springs, two great nephews and two great nieces.
