Keitha Lee Davis, resident of Westminster Village, Ponca City, Oklahoma and former longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died September 19, 2009 at the age of 93. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartles-ville, Oklahoma with Rev. Andrew Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the Dale Cemetery in Dale, Oklahoma under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. A family visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial has been established in honor of Mrs. Keitha Lee Davis and contributions may be sent to Hospice of North Central, located at 1904 N. Union, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. Keitha Lee McCoy, daughter of Guy and Maud (Hayes) McCoy was born October 30, 1915 in McCloud, Oklahoma. During high school, she played the piano and excelled in violin, winning contests and giving lessons. After graduating from McCloud High School, Keitha attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and graduated in 1937 from the University of Oklahoma with a major in music. At OU she was a member of Chi Omega Soroity. Keitha always described her college years as ""The most fun ever."" She married Dr. Kieffer Davis on December 20, 1937, and they lived in Louisville, Kentucky where Kieffer completed his residency. They established Kieffer's medical practice in Nowata, Oklahoma and later moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma when Kieffer joined Phillips Petroleum Company as Medical Director. Keitha was one of six founding members of the Bartlesville League that created the Bargain Box and later built the Youth Canteen. She was honored on numerous occasions for her community service with the Service League and the Bartlesville Symphony. She participated in the amateur music theater productions in Bartlesville and loved entertaining, traveling, gardening, playing golf, and watching OU football. Keitha was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. In 2006, Keitha moved to Westminster Village in Ponca City to be near her family. While there she continued to entertain others by playing the piano. She always said, ""Just hum it and I will play it."" She easily made friends in Ponca City. Keitha's outgoing personality and sense of humor will be truly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by sons, Paul Keiffer Davis, M.D. and wife, Marcia of Ponca City; Peter McCoy Davis and wife, Lynda of Orange Park, Florida; Thomas Garrett Davis and wife, Jackie of Tonkawa; daughter, Candice Moore, M.D. and husband, Ted of Nevada, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Keitha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty eight years, Kieffer Dixon Davis.
