Rebecca Jane (Becky) Doro, 51, of Chickasha, was born Sept. 11, 1960, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to David A. and Pearl (Zornes) Wright. She passed from this life on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Becky was raised in Anadarko and attended Anadarko Public Schools graduating in 1978. She then attended U.S.A.O. and received degrees in music and education. Becky returned to college at Redlands in El Reno and became a registered nurse. She was then hired by the 1st National bank as a private duty nurse. Becky later went to work for D.H.S. in home health. Then for 15 years, she owned and operated her own daycare center from her home catering especially to children with special needs. Becky was a lifelong member of the Anadarko 1st Church of the Nazarene where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She loved singing and serving the Lord in any capacity she could. Becky loved her children, nieces, nephews and even daycare kids whom she often took on camping trips. Becky enjoyed holidays and doing all the necessary preparations. She loved her grandchildren very much (even the ones she never met). Becky was preceded in death by her father David Wright, a daughter Sarah Beth, a sister Junetta Abbott, a brother-in-law Bill Abbott; a brother Roy Wright, her father-in-law Charles Doro, and a brother-in-law Donald Doro. She is survived by her husband, David, of the home, son, John and his wife Melina, of Canada; daughter, Amy Brown and her husband Bruce, of Chickasha; son, Brian and his wife Krysten, of Chickasha; and a very special boy Malachi; her mother, Pearl, of Chickasha; brother, Roger and his wife Kay, of Anadarko; grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Doro, of Canada; Rilee Brown, of Chickasha; Emalee and Nyckole Doro, both of Chickasha; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011, at the Anadarko First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Curtis Koscheski officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery. Viewing will be Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
