EDWARD, Thomas E.
Mr. Thomas Edward ""Tommy"" Miss, 72, of Frederick, died Friday afternoon, April 6, 2007, at his residence. He was the husband of Mrs. Dolores Jean Harding Miss, his wife of 42 years. Born on May 15, 1934, in Frederick, he was a son of the late William Edward and Laura Gertrude Lininger Miss.
Tommy was a stone mason by trade and was last employed by Creative Masonry of Bethesda. Since his retirement, he had been involved with landscaping and lawn care. Prior to his career as a mason, he worked for Frederick County Roads Department. Mr. Miss was a former member of the Buck and Bass Club, Frederick. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, squirrel hunting and baseball. Surviving, besides his wife, is a son, Doug E. Miss and wife Kathy of Frederick; siblings, Robert M. Miss and wife Mary Ellen, Herbert D. Miss and Mae L. Hopkins and husband Ralph, all of Frederick, Shirley E. McKell and husband Charles of Chattanooga, Tenn., and LInda L. Miller and husband James of Frederick; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tommy will also be fondly remembered by Max and Elle and his lawn customers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings William D. and Ernest L. Miss and Patricia Ann Miss. Friends may call at Keeney and Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 11. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry A. Price will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Patient Assistance Fund for Frederick Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Therapy Center, 501 W.
