EMANUEL, Lorene I. (Gooch)

Funeral Service for Ireta Lorene Gooch Emanuel, 93, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Byron G. Elmore, officiating. Mrs. Emanuel died Thursday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Emanuel was born September 16, 1915, in Laverty, Oklahoma, to John and Lillian Gooch. She grew up in the Chickasha area where she attended Chickasha Public Schools and Oklahoma College for Women. She worked for many years as a nurse and laboratory technician and had worked for several Lawton physicians. She married Millard L. Emanuel on March 21, 1936, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2000. They lived in Lawton since 1947. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lawton where she served as Deaconess, Circle Moderator and Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Mary Lynn and Terry Riddle, Sanford, North Carolina, and Vicki and Paul Ebisch, Mount Vernon, Missouri; a sister, Naomi Hoffman, Rodgers, North Dakota; seven grandchildren, Greg Riddle, Westford, Massachusetts, Jason Riddle, Marlboro, Massachusetts, Dixie Ebisch, Lauri Horn and Johanna Moore, all of Mount Vernon, Missouri, Kathy Kennedy, Lawton, and Paul Ebisch, Jr, Springfield, Missouri; 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Her parents, a brother and six sisters preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, P.O. Box 2074, Lawton OK 73502.The family will greet friends from 3-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
