FLEMING, Doris M. (Stone)

Doris M. Fleming, 85, passed away on February 13, 2011 in Wichita Falls. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM. Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Crestview Cemetery with Dr. Dan Garza, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home. Doris was born December 17, 1925 to Herman and Irene (Manahan) Stone in Ada, Oklahoma. Doris graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She attended the Oklahoma College for Women, now named, the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Doris was a very talented seamstress, artist and painter. She was a member of the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Doris will always be remembered for the love and devotion given to her family. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Diana Hicks; a son, Stephen Fleming; and a sister, Virginia Beatty. She is survived by her children: Patti Huffines and husband Jim of Lake Jackson, Texas and Jerry Fleming of Wichita Falls, Texas; son-in-law, Ronnie Hicks of Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren: Brian Huffines and wife Kelley of Los Angeles, California, Christopher Huffines and wife Veronica of Alpharetta, Georgia and Lauren Vanderburg and husband Thomas of Arlington, Texas; four great grandchildren; a niece and several nephews. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-7 PM, for visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
