HARRIS, Jewel M. (Southerland)

Jewel M. Harris, 89, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lukes in the Meadow Episcopal Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Jewel was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Rush Springs, Okla., to Ransom and Arabelle Southerland. She graduated from Rush Springs High School and attended Oklahoma Women's College. Jewel lived a life in service to God and our country through Meadowbrook Baptist Church and Navy Mothers Organization. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward Dale Harris; husband, William; a daughter, Linda; granddaughter, LeeAnne; and son-in-law, Ronnie. Survivors: Sister, Dorothy; son, David; daughter, Helen; and grandchildren, David, Ed, Theresa, Billy, Jeanette, Susan and their families.
