Pattie Elizabeth (Croom) Hayes Hensley was born in McAlester, OK on July 1, 1922 to Mack Eph and Linnie Bell (Fullilove) Croom. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1928. She graduated from Classen High School in 1940 and attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, OK. She married Lawrence Hayes on Feb. 22, 1941, and together they raised four children. Pattie retired from Liberty National Bank after 22 years of service and then went to work for HK Corporation. Later she went to work for the Department of Public Safety and retired a second time in 1984. She married Everette Morgan Hensley, Sr. in 1980, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage and retirement together until Morgan's death in July 2003. Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lawrence Hayes, son John Hayes, husband Morgan Hensley, Sr., brother Mack E. Croom, Jr., son Morgan Hensley, Jr., and granddaughter Karrie Jane Hensley. She is survived by her children, Mike and Inge Hayes, Steve and Kathy Hayes, Barbara and Larry Fulton, brother and sister-in-law Roland and Anna Beth Croom, sister-in-law Dorothy Croom, daughter-in-law Sue Hayes, son and daughter-in-law Ross and Ginny Hensley, step daughter-in-law Connie Hensley, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00 am., Saturday, Jan 2, 2010, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, followed by burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8140 NW 36th, Bethany, OK, 73008.
