Leticia Ingram, 87, of Bremerton Jan. 12, 1922 to Jan. 12, 2009 Leticia (Tica) Ingram was born to teach and she was one of the best and a favorite. As a Rhodes scholar, she studied in England before getting her undergraduate degree from the Oklahoma College for Women. She then earned her master's in mathematics. She was born and raised in Costa Rica. It was there she met her future husband, LeRoy (Roy) Ingram, while both were teaching at an InterAmerican School. Tica and Roy married in 1950, and moved to Oak Harbor, WA, where she spent most of her professional life teaching high school Spanish. Tica and Roy were loving parents to two girls, Lenore Ingram, who lives with her partner, Judy Graham, in Olympia and Lindsy Ingram who lives with her husband, Tom Williams, in Bremerton. After retirement, Tica and Roy moved back to Costa Rica, to spend their retirement years in Tica's homeland, surrounded by family and friends. Upon the death of her husband in 1999, Tica moved back to Bremerton to be close to her daughters. Tica was an intelligent, ambitious woman. She was a passionate teacher, a dedicated Catholic, a die-hard sports fan and nuts about lotto tickets. She spent much time on the computer as well. Most of all she loved to laugh. Born on January 12, 1922, Tica came full circle to pass away on her 87th birthday, January 12, 2009. She died peacefully at Hospice of Kitsap Co. Care Center under the caring and gentle hands of their fabulous staff. The family would like to thank Hospice for all they did in getting us through difficult times. Donations to Hospice in memory of Tica would be wonderful.
