KILGO,Yvonne (Kidd)

Yvonne Kidd Kilgo, 97, formerly of Midwest City, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Regency Nursing Home in Springfield, IL.. She was born December 12, 1912 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Eva and Claude Kidd. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Clyde Earl Kidd and one sister Lois Marie. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Dunaway (husband, George) of Springfield, IL; two grandsons, John and Brian Dunaway (Springfield, IL); two great granddaughters, Sarah and Elizabeth Dunaway (Edmond); one great great-grandson, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She graduated from Wanette High School, and attended Oklahoma College for Women and Texas Christian University. She worked in the Shawnee County Treasure's Office during WWII. When she moved to Midwest City, she worked for 27 years in the Midwest City School District Board of Education in the Personnel Dept. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Wickline Methodist Church with Reverend Bob Winslow officiating. A brief visitation from 10 until 11 a.m., will be held at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery.
