Anita Rue Lang passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in Richardson, TX where she relocated at retirement in 1980. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Milton Bulloch of Richardson, TX; two granddaughters, Ellen Anita Aldrich and Danna Kathryn Halsey and her husband Stephen Halsey; as well as five great grandchildren, Kathryn and Grayson Aldrich and Trey, Rachel and Jack Halsey, all of Dallas. A granddaughter, Charlene Mendoza lives in Georgetown, TX with great grandchildren, twins Madison and Jacquelyn Mendoza. Anita also is survived by two nephews and a niece; Michael, Joe and Patricia Gerl. Anita was born March 10, 1917 in Marlow, OK to Hugo and Odessa Kendrick. Her only sibling was Patricia Gerl born in 1927. Anita graduated from high school in Marlow and continued education at Oklahoma College for Women majoring in music with emphasis on voice and piano, completing thirteen years of piano instruction. Anita moved to Ardmore, OK and began a forty-two year career with Phillips Petroleum Company. A few years before retirement she was transferred to Wichita Falls, TX followed by Oklahoma City. While at each location she remained active with her love of music, soloing for her church and other occasions. She was also very active in the Desk & Derrick Club, an organization for women in the oil business, serving as Editor of their Bulletin and President of one club with 500 members. She loved traveling with the club to their Annual National meeting. She was also an active member of the Church of Christ, Scientist in each location, serving in several capacities. Her family would like to thank those who have provided her care and friendship during these recent years. She had a busy, active life and will be missed with love. A private family service will be at a later date in Ardmore, OK
