Lund, Margabel (Marge) 83, went to be with the Lord April 23, 2008. Marge was born on January 28, 1925, in Lawton, OK. She received her teaching degree from the Oklahoma College for Women and worked as a Physical Education teacher in Lawton. In 1949 she moved to Tulsa and obtained her Masters degree from the University of Tulsa. She worked for Tulsa Public Schools as a teacher at Horace Mann and Roosevelt Junior High Schools and a counselor at Byrd Elementary. She retired in 1984 and received many awards throughout her teaching career. Marge also taught children of US military personnel in Panama for 2 years in the 1950s. Marge played the trombone in the Tulsa Junior College band and later in life was very involved in St. Johns Episcopal Church and St. Simeons. She also loved playing golf and traveling the world with her best friend, Pauline (Pody) Bost. Her smile, humor, and passion for life will be missed. Marge was preceded in death by: her parents, Sigurd Arno Lund, Sr. and Genevieve Moll Lund; and her brother, Sigurd Arno Lund, Jr. She is survived by: her nieces Cindy Joyner, Judy Dunlap, and Lisa Horvath; and several beloved cousins.
