Dorothy Anne Neville, longtime Dallas resident, died March 24, 2011. She was born April 12, 1923 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She attended Henryetta public schools where she was an honor student and a member of the debate team. After high school, she attended The Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and graduated from The University of Oklahoma at Norman. She moved to Dallas in the late 1940s and established her career as a writer and advertising and public relations executive. In the mid 1980s she served as editor and publisher of the Lakeside Record American in Rowlett, Texas. Later, she wrote for the Dallas Morning News as well as the newspapers in Carthage, Texas, Fayettville, Arkansas, and Tyler, Texas. She received numerous awards for her cooking, religion, and opinion pieces. She married John Patrick Neville in 1953 and they had two children, Anne Catherine Neville and John Carl Neville. She is survived by her children and five nieces and nephews.
