PAIT, Verna J. (Ballinger)

Verna Jean Pait, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2011. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Richland Hills Baptist Church Lottie Moon Mission Fund. Jean was born in Marysville, Texas, to Everett and Grace Ballinger. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women in 1948. Jean married Bob Pait on Aug. 21, 1948. She taught early elementary school for 29 years in Oklahoma and Ohio. Jean was a member of North Richland Hills Baptist Church. She loved Jesus, family, and showing hospitality to others. During her lifetime, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, RVing, boating, and serving with various mission organizations. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Hazel. Survivors: Her husband, Bob; daughter, Diane Pace (Tom); son, David (Linda); five granddaughters; and 11 great-grandchildren.
