Funeral for Lillian Litton Porter, 92, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kim Hames, pastor, First Christian Church, officiating. Mrs. Porter died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in a local care center. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Endee, N.M., to Henry H. and Sallie Litton, and moved to Chickasha when she was young. She attended Chickasha public schools, and graduated from high school in 1935. She graduated from U.S.A.O. (formerly O.C.W.) in 1939. On Feb. 4, 1939, she married James W. Porter. He died May 17, 1994. She was a member of First Christian Church of Lawton for more than 69 years. She was a homemaker, and worked many years with Scouts, Campfire Girls and the Parent Teacher Association. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy A. and Ralph Davis, Lawton; a son and daughter-in-law, James W. Porter Jr. and Diane, Rockwall, Texas; four grandchildren and their spouses: Aimee Mavity and Justin, Jason Davis and Julie, and James Porter III and Lori, all of Lawton; and Thomas Porter and Bee, of Georgia; five great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter, all of Lawton; two sisters: Bonnie Moore, Chickasha; and Lucille Martz, California; and two brothers: Segal and Buster Litton, both of California.
