REIMER, Marla L. (Watson)

Marla Lane Watson Reimer of Stillwater passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 in Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Friends may view Saturday, Oct. 1st, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be held Sunday, Oct. 2nd at 2:30 p.m. in Highland Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Derrek Belase officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Marla was born on Nov. 4, 1948 in Oklahoma City to Bill and Mary (Bonds) Watson. She graduated Stillwater High School in 1967. Marla began her family in 1969 with the birth of her first son, William Jeremy Scott Roberts. 1975 saw the birth of her second son, Corbyn Alan Roberts with her daughter, Damon Christine Roberts arriving in 1977. Marla and Dr. Rollin Reimer were married on June 14, 1991 where her family and love grew to include George, Rona, Rollinda, and David Reimer. Marla worked at the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha while working on her Bachelors degree, which she received from USAO in 1986. She was a proud lifetime member of the USAO Alumni Association. She furthered her education receiving her Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. Marla spent many years as Purchasing Agent in Grady County and with the Department of Human Services in Chickasha and Stillwater. Marla was very active in the Payne County Democrats and Class of 67 Gals. She was also a charter member of the PEO GN chapter. Marla truly lived life to the fullest, squeezing more into her 62 years than would seem possible. She and Rollin traveled extensively and it is without a doubt that Marla created friendships everywhere she went. Marla enjoyed spending time with her husband and working in their yard. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends and hosting Camp MoMo for her heartsong grand-babies. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Bill Watson. Survivors include her husband Dr. Rollin Reimer of Stillwater; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Kathryn Roberts of Santa Barbara, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Corbyn and Cristi Roberts, of Little Elm, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Damon and Brent Herrick of Independence, MO; son and daughter-in-law, George and Joannie Reimer of Dexter, KS; daughter, Rona Stewart of Stillwater; daughter, Rollinda Saunders of Stillwater and son, David Reimer of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren: Kate and Will Roberts; Jake and Caroline Roberts; Mitchell, Michael, and Taylor Herrick; Christopher, Davis, Kimberly, John and Faith Saunders; Ryan Reimer; Amanda and Jimmy DeMoss; Audrie and Nate Clark; David, Stephen, and Allison Stewart; Hannah and Madison Reimer; three great-grandchildren, aunts, cousins and lifelong friends. Momo was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
