Roadstrum, Mary Helen Mary Helen Roadstrum, formerly of Holden, passed on December 4, in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Roadstrum was born Mary Helen Pryor in Ardmore, Oklahoma and was the wife of the late WPI Professor William Henry Roadstrum. Mrs. Roadstrum is survived by two daughters, Ruth Kraner of Palmetto, Florida and Martha Moffett of St. Paul, Minnesota. Mrs. Roadstrum is a graduate of Oklahoma College for Women, with a degree in home economics, and organ. She taught home economics in public school. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, and gardener, and won awards for her beautiful landscaping and floral arrangements. She wrote a cooking column for the Holden Landmark. Mrs. Roadstrum volunteered in the Worcester and Holden communities. She was an active member in her church and a Girl Scout leader. She held several officer positions including president in the Worcester Women's Club, the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Faculty Wives Club, the Holden Garden Club, and the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She was a friend to many. The family will hold a private memorial service. Donations may be made in her honor to Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Worcester, and to the PEO Foundation.
