ROGERS, Margarette A. (Dries)

Prayer service for Margarette Ann Rogers will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Deacon Lloyd Menz officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30 in Resurrection Chapel, Oklahoma City, with Rev. Gerard MacAuley officiating. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers died Jan. 24, 2009, at Concordia Life Care Community in Oklahoma City. She was born March 9, 1914, in Union City. She received a degree in education from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. She taught elementary school and high school. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Edmond. In 1939 she married Harold Rogers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Margaret (Fuhring) Dries, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jan Rogers of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Ann Rogers of Great Bend, Kan., and Jo Rogers of Denton, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Michael Washenberger, DeAnn Engle, Susan Savage, Mary VanRiper, Roger YellowWolf, Eric Lingle, Lynn Raney, Leigh Rogers, Justy Brubaker and Todd Rogers; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
