SCOTT, Mary L. (Trammell)

Funeral service for Mary Linn Scott, 86, of Chickasha will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Chickasha. Mary Linn Scott was born April 13, 1924 in Chickasha, the daughter of Clark and Willie Mae (Ramsey) Trammell. She died April 29, 2010, at her home with her family at her side. Mary Linn graduated from Chickasha High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women. She moved back to Chickasha in 1962 and worked for Colvert Dairy and Lonnie Jordan, CPA. She also worked for Pete Mosley at the Grady County Treasurers office for 20 years. Mary Linn was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward W. Ladd, in 1962. She married James Scott February 28, 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include husband, James Scott of the home, three children, Edlynn and husband, Paul Powell, Eddie and wife, Linda Ladd, Elizabeth and husband, Tom Richards, seven grandchildren, Tiffany Haile, Justin Powell, Shelbi Ladd, Aubrey Ladd,, Jason Richards, Mary Beth Richards, and Darci Ladd, two great grandchildren, Brant Ladd Haile and Jewell Powell, two sisters, Vera Mae Self, Billie Jean Griffin and special friend, Betty Ruth Boyt. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
