Naomi (Ridge) Scott, age 81, born in OKC July 19, 1929, was awarded her angel wings on Dec. 18, 2010. After graduating from Minco High School, she earned her teaching degree from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. While teaching in Geary, OK, she met the love of her life, LeRoy Scott. They were married in 1954 and enjoyed 43 years together before his death in 1997. Naomi was a substitute teacher in the OKC Schools for almost 20 years before helping her husband establish L&N Sales, and working alongside him in the S&M Honeyhouse. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to work in her flowerbeds, raising beautiful flowers and vegetables. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy and husband Jim Klea; 2 grandchildren: Christina and Greg Sloan and Michael and Darci Klea; 4 great-grandchildren: Brianna and Colton Sloan, Meleia and Dawson Jax Klea. She is also survived by Mr. and Mrs. Neil Scott, Charles Brantley, Mr. and Mrs. Truett Baker, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Louise Ridge; a brother, Charles; and sister-in-law, Anna Brantley. Visitation will be today from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the South Colonial Chapel. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, OK, immediately following the service.
