Annamae Shank, widow of the late Harold G. Shank former city secretary of Dallas and past potentate of Hella Temple; passed away March 9, 2011. Member of Kessler Park United Methodist Church and an active member of the Crusaders Class. For many years was a musician for her class, daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Templar Chapter # 374, Order of Eastern Star, Dallas Assembly No. 63 Social Order of the Beauceant and Woman of Rotary, attended Oklahoma College for Women and Central State Teachers College in Edmond, Oklahoma. She taught school several years in Oklahoma before moving to Dallas in early 40's. Survived by her sons and daughters in law, Walter T. and Mary Kay, Glenn R. and Betty; grandchildren Vann his wife Hilary and son Hayes, Allen and wife Angie, Robin and Laurie, cousin Louise Ballinger; several nieces and nephews. Family visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Sunday, March 13. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 14, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to Kessler Park United Methodist Church or Grace Presbyterian Village.
