Cleo B. Shook March 20, 1925 - Nov. 16, 2011 Cleo B. Shook was born March 20, 1925 at Marlow, and died Nov. 16, 2011 in Norman, at the age of 86. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Cleo had been a longtime resident of Marlow but had resided in Blanchard, for the last 10 years. She obtained her B.S. degree from the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, and was an elementary school teacher in Lawton for 25 years, retiring in 1988, and was also a homemaker. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Marlow for 50 years and was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cleo and Lawrence Shook were married in 1945, at Orange, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara and Charles Smith of Blanchard; a son, Bill Shook, of Oklahoma City., and a daughter-in-law, Bobbie Shook, of Fayetteville, Ark. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Michelle and Scott Wolford, Jackie Eidson, Claudette and Bill Greenway, Brian and Candice Smith, Tina and Robert Johnson, Beau Smith and Benjamin Smith. She has 11 great-grandchildren, including Blake Greenway, Grant Greenway, Sara Eidson, Charlie Smith, Slade Smith, Landon Miles, Brett Todd, Karsten Johnson, Kennedy Johnson, Presley Johnson and Blake Johnson; five special nieces, Dana Barrington, Reba Swoapes, Elwanda Tassin and Carolyn Crabtree; and two special nephews, Bill and Betty Sue McEnany, and Howard and Marilyn Barnard. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Shook, in 1979, and her parents, Claude and Esther Barnard. Pallbearers will be T.J. Temple, Danny Long, Bill Greenway, Scott Wolford, Russell Long and Randall Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Coast, Jerry Coast and Dwight Sanfo.
