Smith, Christine Davis Feb. 22, 1908 ù April 13, 2008 Christine Davis Smith, 100, of Apache, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, in her home. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church, Elgin, with the Rev. Leon Shade, pastor of First Baptist Church, Apache, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, under direction of Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher (formerly Robbins Funeral Home).She was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Gracemont, to Berry Jackson and Ruby Alta Davis. She was a graduate of Anadarko High School and Anadarko Business College. She also attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. She married Ivon H. Smith on March 17, 1934. He died Sept. 10, 1991. They spent their married life in Anadarko, Chickasha, Duncan and Elgin. They owned businesses in Duncan and Elgin. Mrs. Smith had been a member of the Methodist Church since 1919. She had been involved in different organizations of the church and was a lifetime member of United Methodist Women. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elgin. She had attended First Baptist Church in Apache for the last four years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Melva Jean and Carol Austin of the home, and Cleta Faye and Lanny Puckett of Norman; two grandsons and their wives: Blake and Paula Puckett of Bloomington, Ind., and Grant and Lisa Puckett of Colleyville, Texas; a granddaughter and her husband, Cheryl Lynn and Rex Kennedy of Elgin; and 13 great-grandchildren: Erika, Hannah and Zachary Puckett of Bloomington, Callie, Daniel and James Puckett of Colleyville, and Colleen, Wyatt, Colten, Amy, Ruthie, Kathleen and Oren Kennedy, all of Elgin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Kaye Smith; three brothers: Herman Davis, Dr. Wesley W. Davis and Robert Davis; and two sisters: Artie Mae Davis and Pauleen Lewis. Special thanks go to Victory Home Health and Hospice of Elgin.
