TRUSS, Norma (Pool)
Truss, Norma Norma Truss, 92, of Oklahoma City, passed away December 10, 2007. She was born to Lennie 'Inez' Muncrief and Horace C. Pool on May 5, 1915 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She graduated from Classen High School & attended the Oklahoma College for Women. She was a faithful charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher and pianist and was active with her Women's Circle as well as Women of Westminster. She also helped found the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday school class. Norma married Nash P. Truss, Jr. on September 26, 1940 and together they had 49 years of marriage before his death on October 28, 1989. Norma loved going to the lake with family and friends, her bridge and Mahjong groups, and the Preface Book Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Walter Bergman and brother Jack Pool. She is survived by her son Phil Truss and his wife Mary, son, Jim Truss, her grandchildren Holly Carlin and her husband Mark and Brad Truss as well as her great-grandchildren McKenzie and Bryce Carlin, all of Oklahoma City. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and techs on the third floor of Mercy Hospital, Compassionate Care Hospice and her many friends at the Statesman Club at the Vineyard. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2007 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Foundation.
