WEAVER, Norma L. (Hurst)

Weaver, Norma Lea Funeral service for Norma Lea Weaver, 76, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. NORMA LEA WEAVER was born October 1, 1932 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Harold Thomas Hurst and Norma Elsa (Smith) Hurst. She died July 6, 2009 in Bethany, Oklahoma. Norma grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated from Friend High School. She worked as a nurses aide for 12 years. She returned to college with four children at home and graduated from USAO with a degree in Vocational Home Economics. She taught school in Lone Grove, Oklahoma for 5 years and worked for the Department of Human Services in Ardmore for 18 years, retiring in 1990. She was preceded in death by: 1 son: Thomas Edward Weaver, Her parents: Harold and Norma Hurst, 1 grandson: Jason Keith Terry. Survivors include:3 children: Mickie Sue Townley, Annetta Camila Mason, James Lea Weaver, 2 brothers: Billy Don Hurst, Harold LaVon Hurst, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
