WILLIS, Ira Jr.
Ira Willis Jr., 50, of Altus, passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at English Village Manor. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bennie Alexander, Supt. Pastor Robert Green and Elder Dwayne Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Ira Willis Jr. was born on Oct. 8, 1960, in Clinton to Ira and Imogene (Hill) Willis. He attended Altus Public Schools and was active in the Junior High Choir, football and basketball. He then attended the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha for two years. He was active, working all over Oklahoma as a landscaper, until he was stricken with a stroke in 1998. He loved art, music and hanging out with friends. He helped give people rides and took care of his parents. Ira was a member of the Church of God In Christ; he enjoyed singing in the church choir as a child. His parents and a sister, Sheila Young, preceded him in death. Survivors include brother, Ronal Willis and fiance Brenda Darville of Altus; and best friend Lorraine Willis of Altus; and brothers, Kenneth Willis and Allan Willis, both of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Debra Willis and fiancé Sylvester Branch of Altus, and Lenora Motton and husband Clyde of San Diego, Calif.; four half sisters, Leslie Scott of Virginia, Vanessa Scott and Mindy Scott, both of Lawton, and Crystal Scott of Altus; and a half brother, Jeffrey Scott of Altus.
