Brain Waves Summer Camp

 

 
This summer faculty of the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma
will serve as instructors for a camp for gifted elementary students on the
USAO campus. The 4-day camps for elementary students will emphasize
USAO’s commitment to interdisciplinary education and will feature
sessions in the Sciences to include wildlife, math, geology, food science,
environmental science, physics, chemistry, and computers as well as
sessions from the Arts to include writing, music, art, and theatre.
 
The camps are from June 10-13 for students entering third and fourth grade and June 17-20 for students entering fifith through seventh grade.
 
The camps will start at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. Lunch is included.
Most of the activities are hands-on and include outdoor activities. The
camps are limited to 20 students to enhance the personal attention that
characterizes the USAO college classroom.
 
Students must be enrolled in a Gifted Program and recommended by
a Gifted Teacher. Cost for the camps is $125.

Each camp is limited to twenty students. Fees will be returned for unsuccessful applications. Notification of acceptance will be sent to e-mail address in application.
