Student Advancement Team
If the phone is ringing and the caller I.D. says 'USAO,' there's a good chance the call is from one of the members of the Student Advancement Team working to connect alumni back to their alma mater.
The three-member team has been calling OCW, OCLA and USAO alumni since spring 2011. The SAT was formed to boost alumni giving to the university.
“In addition to donations, the Call Center and the SAT give us a chance to connect students to alumni and to reconnect alumni to the university,” said Eric Feuerborn, director of Alumni Development at USAO. “It also is a practical way to update contact information for our alumni and to remove out of date information from our database.”
“The SAT enables students to build relationships using multiple forms of communication to secure annual scholarship gifts. We really want the students and the alumni to talk – to get to know each other. Both groups have a lot to share with each other. The SAT is just another way to connect the two groups,” Feuerborn said.
The Student Advancement Team works during the spring and fall trimesters at USAO. "Our students understand the importance of scholarship dollars and want to help build relationships with our alumni. We can’t call everyone in our database, but we are going to call as many as we can.”
