CHICKASHA – Scoring five runs and batting seven runners in during a three-game series this week earned Jared Coon his second Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor.
Against Oklahoma Christian last week, Coon batted 0.667. He had eight hits, including a home run and two doubles.
Coon, who took over second base mid-season when Robert Summers was injured, leads the team in batting average at 0.472 for the season. He also leads the team in runs, hits, doubles, home runs and RBIs.
Coon started the season at left field. He has played and started in every game for the Drovers.
