CHICKASHA – The Drovers scored in every inning in a 20-2 crush of the Arlington Baptist Patriots on Friday afternoon at Bill Smith Ballpark.

The Drovers (22-3) seemed unstoppable in the game, which only went seven of the nine innings, ending early because of the mercy rule.

Seven of the Drovers’ runs came off the three home runs that were hit Friday. In the fourth inning, catcher Owen Adams hit a ball straight into the scoreboard for two-RBI home run. It was his second homer of the season, having won the Drovers’ Wednesday game with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth.

Then in the sixth inning, all five USAO runs were off home runs. First Brian Vigo hit a two-RBI homer, followed shortly by a three-RBI homer by Blake Pruett.

Pruett went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and five runners batted in. Adams went 3-for-4 with one run and four RBIs. Additionally, Hayden George scored two runs pinch running for Adams before getting an opportunity to bat himself.

Shortstop Konrad Mueller also went perfect at the plate with five hits and scored the most runs of any player on Friday with four for USAO.

Jared Coon went 3-for-4, scoring two runs and batting in four runners.

Robert Summers, Heath Wilda and Vigo each scored two runs. Chance Hill and Daniel Edwards each scored one.

David Garcia (7-0) remains undefeated, earning the win on the mound with four innings. He threw five strikeouts and no walks.

Arnold Gomez, Clinton Selman and Josh Terrell each pitched an inning as well. Gomez struck out all three batters he faced. Selman threw two strikeouts while Terrell threw three.

The two teams finish the series with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon starting at noon. The games will be at Bill Smith Ballpark.
