Drovers win first two against Bethany, third canceled

Nate Hammons throwing two hits in his six innings on the mound helped the Drovers win their second game against Bethany College on Saturday afternoon at the Bill Smith Ballpark.

The Drovers played two solid games against the Swedes, winning the first one 9-8 and the second 10-2.

In the first game, Catcher David Masters hit three of three with two runs and three RBIs. Masters also had nine putouts. Josh Moore hit two of three with two runs and two RBIs, while Jake Dunbar hit one of two with three runs.

Pitcher Caleb Martin had seven strikeouts and gave up nine hits in his six innings on the mound.

In the Drovers second game, Regulo Moy hit a double, had three RBIs and a run for USAO. Conner Bridgman and Greg Ylda each had two runs.

Pitcher Nate Hammons had 10 strikeouts and gave up two hits in six innings.

The Drovers stay undefeated with an overall record of 5-0.

The third game against Bethany College, which was scheduled for Sunday, was canceled. The Drovers will take on Sterling College on Monday with a double header beginning at 1 p.m. at Bill Smith Ballpark.
