2012: As a junior, Garcia saw seven starts and 15 appearances on the mound. In nearly 53 innings, he had the lowest earned run average on the team at 3.93, which is second in USAO history. He allowed just 23 earned runs in the 197 batters he faced. Additionally, he walked just 15 batters all season. He threw 30 strikeouts. He came in the Top 25 in the NAIA in total hits allowed with 47.

2011: In his first season with the Drovers, Garcia served as one of the team’s main pitchers. Pitching a total of 73.1 innings, Garcia threw 58 strikeouts and earned four wins. In a complete game against Southern Nazarene in March, Garcia allowed just one run as the Drovers defeated the Crimson Storm 14-1 in seven innings. He had a season-high 10 strikeouts thrown in seven innings against Saint Gregory’s — a game that also saw just one run allowed.

2010: Before USAO, Garcia pitched a season at Cochise College in Douglas, Ariz. There, he threw a no hitter.
