2012: Coon immediately saw starts, playing both infield and outfield. At the plate, Coon led the team in batting average at .402 and nearly every other offensive category. He came in first in the NAIA in doubles per game, fourth in total bases per game and eighth in total doubles. He is tied for first in the USAO record books for single-season doubles with 22 and third in hits with 70. For the season, he scored 49 runs and batted 50 runners in. Additionally, he had 11 home runs, including two in a conference game against Southern Nazarene. In that game, he was responsible for batting in all five runs of the game. He was named SAC Player of the Week in March and again in April. He was named All-Conference First Team for his efforts.

2011: Coon pitched a season at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La.

2010: Coon played a season at Eastern Oklahoma State.

High School: Before college, Coon played for Dale High School, where he was named All-State. His team is a four-time state champion.
