No. 23 too much for the Drovers

CHICKASHA -- It was a back and forth game for the Drover men against No. 23 John Brown and the Drovers ending up falling by just five points, ending the game with a final of 81-76.

The lead changed nine times throughout the game, with JBU getting its largest lead just 30 seconds before the final buzzer.

Kyle Hunt added another double-double to his season’s total with 24 points and 17 rebounds. He went 8-for-14 from both the field and the line.

Norris Rumph had another 12 points, and Phillip Harris had another 11 points for the Drovers in the contest.

The Drovers move to 12-10 overall and 8-8 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. They head to Shawnee to take on Saint Gregory’s on Thursday night before returning home to take on No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday, with a 5 p.m. tip off.

Saturday's contest will be the second annual Pink Out Cancer game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in lieu of the usual green and gold.
