CHICKASHA – Seeking revenge on Saturday, the John Brown Golden Eagles fought tough to secure an 88-76 win over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
In early January, the Drovers (11-12, 8-8) defeated John Brown (17-9, 7-9) on the road, snapping the Golden Eagles’ 11-game winning streak with which they started the season.
Shavon Scott tied his career high of 28 points on Saturday with 9-for-17 from the field. He set that record just nine days ago in a home game against No. 4 Southwestern Assemblies of God.
Kennis White had 15 points and six rebounds in the game, while teammate Tyler Reynolds had 12 points and five assists.
Jahseth Lloyd led the team in rebounds with 10. He also contributed six points to the Drovers’ total.
The Drovers shot 45.3 percent from the field in the game but were bested by the Golden Eagles’ 54.4 percent shooting on the night.
The Drovers travel to Oklahoma City on Thursday night before returning home for their next home game on Saturday against Southwestern Christian.
That game will be Alumni Day and alumni from OCW, OCLA and USAO will enjoy free admission to the game. Tip off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
