OKLAHOMA CITY– In one of the feature games in the state, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (4-11, 3-5) made things interesting in the first half before ultimately falling to No. 17 Mid-America Christian (14-6, 7-1).
At halftime of the game, the Evangels led by eight but 53 percent shooting from the field in the second half ultimately gave the much-needed gas to pull ahead of USAO.
CHICKASHA– Twelve ties and 10 lead changes in the first half alone led to a back and forth game, which resulted in Texas Wesleyan (14-5, 3-5) grabbing the slim victory over The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (4-11, 3-5).
CHICKASHA– After two straight wins for the Drovers - including a come from behind win on Thursday - No. 11 Wayland Baptist (15-2, 4-2) grabbed the victory over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (3-10, 2-4) Saturday in Plainview, Texas.
The final score ended up in favor of the Pioneers, who grabbed the 83-68 victory in a game that the Drovers made tough at times.
CHICKASHA – The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma came back from a 17-point halftime deficit to shock the (RV) Saint Gregory’s Cavaliers with a four-point win on Thursday evening at the USAO Fieldhouse.
USAO’s nearly 74 percent shooting in the second half helped propel the Drovers (3-9, 2-3) to their 74-70 upset of the Cavs (7-6, 3-2).
CHICKASHA – The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (2-9, 1-3) nabbed its first conference win with a victory over the Southwestern Christian Eagles (4-8, 0-4) in a Saturday evening home game.
The Drovers had control for most of the first half, but the Eagles began the second half with a surge that propelled them into the lead. The final 10 minutes were back-and-forth before USAO claimed its ultimate lead in the last 19 seconds...
CHICKASHA – The spring side of Sooner Athletic Conference basketball began in a clash that took the game down to the wire for the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (1-9, 0-3) and the Oklahoma City Stars (6-3, 2-1).
The Stars came from behind to win the game. The Drovers had control for the first 20 minutes but halftime adjustments by the Stars offered them a much-needed surge that the Drovers had to battle to overcome....
CHICKASHA – The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma proudly boasts its student-athletes, who remain successful on the field and court as well as in the classroom, as they earn athletic honors and, most importantly, earn their bachelor degrees.
USAO conferred 74 degrees in all in the 2014 Fall Commencement ceremony on Friday evening. Eleven of those degrees went to Drover student-athletes.
