CHICKASHA – Senior defender Chris Lee’s outlook for the Drover men on the season hasn’t really changed now that the season has begun.
“We’ve got a lot of new boys. We need time to gel and things like that,” he said. “Maybe we haven’t gelled as quick as we’d like, but it will come.”
The ultimate goal is still to make it to the national tournament, and Lee said he isn’t worried about the Drover men’s success this season, even after suffering a tough defeat on the road in Arkansas on the team’s season opener.
“One loss isn’t the end of the world,” he said. “After getting out to practice and things, we just really want to get the job done.”
The physical education senior plans to graduate in April and hopes to stay in the United States and continue coaching soccer.
“I can’t believe it’s been four years to be honest with you, but it’s time to go into the big bad world and see what happens,” he said.
