CHICKASHA – USAO soccer players arrived on campus Monday, and coaches quickly began a rigorous preseason practice schedule, all in preparation for scrimmages next week.

CHICKASHA – The Drover men have some pretty big shoes to fill this year.

The USAO Drovers look forward to starting the 2010 ranked No. 20 in the country.

As defending conference champions, USAO is picked to win the Sooner Athletic Conference men’s soccer title again in 2010.

Some students are top athletes. Others are great students or great community members.

The men’s team leading scorer, junior David Otieno, was also named to the NSCAA Second Team All-American and the All-Southwest Region First Team.

After taking one team to the SAC Tournament and another to the National Tournament, it’s no wonder Soccer Coach Jimmy Hampton was named the NSCAA Southwest Region Coach of the Year.

NAIA announced over the weekend its All-America and Academic All-American soccer honors, which included three USAO Drovers.

HASTINGS, NEB. – One soccer senior was honored with an NAIA Champion of Character award while in Hastings, Neb., for the opening round of the championship tournament.

A heartbreaking penalty kick led to the Drovers’ second loss of the season and the end of post season play.
