2011: As a true freshman, Rubio played in 16 games, scoring three goals for the Drovers. He scored goals in shutouts against Texas College, Texas Wesleyan University and Ottawa University. He also had an assist in the conference game against Oklahoma Christian. Of players scoring three goals or more on the season, Rubio led the team in shooting percentage with 0.429.

High School: Rubio attended Sagrado Corazon de Jesus in Zaragoza, Spain, before joining the Drovers.
