CHICKASHA – Even as a freshman, Neesha Sorrell has become the Drovers’ go-to pitcher, especially after throwing her first college no-hitter and being named SAC Pitcher of the Week.
Sorrell threw her no-hitter against Dordt College last weekend at the Sterling Tournament. She said the pressure started about halfway through the game.
“When we got the runs, I felt pretty confident, and I knew I had to keep it up to keep our game going,” she said. “I knew I had to do my job.”
With the lowest ERA on the team and 99 strikeouts, Sorrell said she hopes to lead the Drovers to the SAC tournament.
“It feels pretty good,” she said. “I just go out there and I know what I got to do and I just do my job.”
